The mission of WISE is to explore alternatives to an everexpanding economy which do not exacerbate poverty The alternative she has been crafting and exploring she calls a Sane Economy. When her fellow rabbis ask what in heavens name this has to do with being a rabbi she reminds them that Judaism holds life to be sacred.
“I am trying to find a way to keep life going,” is her answer.
Theodore has been invited to participate in several national conferences on economic concerns, and recently was invited to speak on a “Basic Income Guarantee" at The Eastern Economic Association Annual Meeting.
Theodore has shared her varied talents in many settings in the county, such as playing viola in the Shepherds play, sharing an autobiographical tale at the Ki Theatre, and reading her poetry (coming up on April 30 at Ki Theatre).
Theodore is also a frequent contributor to discussions on RappNet, offering provocative points of view on a wide variety of topics.
