habit. Yes, our eldest had learned to read, and was pushing herself. How do we maintain good family habits when youth sports, hobbies, scouts press on our time? Our homes, our cars, our bodies all require regular maintenance and discipline. Good family habits require the same dedication.
For us, with three kids to divide two parents’ time, we compromised. We still listened to book tapes in the car as we went to-and-from school or soccer practice. A stop at the library and its great audio collection preceded our vacations. Yet, we read fewer and fewer books together.
