• Goodnight Moon by Margaret W. Brown. Illustrated by Clement Hurd. This classic children’s book has a warm soothing rhythm and is a wonderful bedtime ritual for even the youngest child. (Ages 1 to 4)
• The Snowman by Raymond Briggs. If winter snows make you think of magic, this is the book for you. There aren’t any words, but the drawings tell you everything you need to know. (Ages 2 to 5)
