Roberta A. Williams, 82, of Sperryville, died Feb. 25.
She was born June 29, 1921 to the late Edward and Net Aylor in Sperryville.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville where she was an usher for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Williams, Sr.
Mrs. Williams is survived by four sons, Charles Jr., James Thomas (Maude), Freddy Lewis (Marius), George Wilson (Myra), and two daughters, Ruth Young and Mary Helen Fletcher.
Additional survivors include 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held March 1 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville.

Gillespie
Family in Chester Gap
Martha Anderson Gillespie, 85, died Feb. 29 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Gillespie was born July 25, 1918 in West Virginia to the late Mr. Anderson and Martha Marpole Anderson.
She was a member of Chester Gap Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking.
Mrs. Gillespie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Gillespie, a son, David Matthew Burke, a grandson, Neil Burke and a number of brothers and sisters.
She is survived by four sons, James W. Burke of Strasburg, Abraham Jacob Burke of Linden, Edgar Mitchell Burke of Front Royal and Glenn Preston Gillespie of Front Royal; five daughters, E. Corrine Eastham, Peggy Ann Pearson, Mabel Burke, Sheila Henry all of Front Royal and Janet Lynn Smith of Richmond.
Additional survivors include 26 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
