A clutch of new bills signed into law by Gov. Mark Warner recently has put repeat drunk drivers in Virginia on notice by giving law enforcement more ammunition with which to fight.
This includes two new laws to help them catch and prevent repeat offenders from driving drunk again. One requires drivers with previous DUI arrests to take a roadside breathalizer test; refusing the test now brings an automatic Class 2 Misdemeanor charge.
