Oriental dance classes, including two for beginners, are scheduled for five Tuesdays from June 15 through July 13 at 6 p.m. at the Belle Meade Schoolhouse in Sperryville on Route 231, six miles south of Route 522. Rappahannock Free Clinic

The Rappahannock Free Clinic will be open June 16 at the Rappahannock Health Department in Washington. Patient registration is 5:30-6:30 p.m. There is a shortage of nurses to assist at the clinic. Those willing to help (it is not necessary to be an RN) are urged to call the clinic at 675-2525 or 3470394.

Libr ary’s summer program

Rappahannock County Library’s summer student author/illustrator program,”A Likely Story,” is taking applications. Geared towards middle and high school students, participants write and illustrate their own 16-page hardcover book. Old-fashioned pig roast

The Third Annual Old-Fashioned Pig Roast at Farfelu Vineyards is on June 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The family event features two hogs on the spit, live music by the Courtney Hollow Bluegrass Band, lawn games, and a local artisans marketplace showcasing the region's arts community. The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire, & Rescue Company invites everyone to a Father's Day Breakfast at the fire hall on June 20 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The cost is free with donations.
