There was a letter read to the planners indicating that probably the people signing this petition did not know what they were signing. There were almost as many signing this petition from other areas as Amissville.
Because of the tie vote the lighting ordinance will go back for another public hearing on June 16. I suggest whether you are for the ordinance or whether you are against the ordinance to be in attendance on that date to express your wishes.
Just remember that a well lit house is an effective deterrent to intruders. Uhwelcome intruders just love dark skies.
