because we love those kids and they need to be safe. If Mr. Kiser remains unconvinced that facilities are at least a piece of a quality program, come visit our cafeteria, gym or hallways any evening in the winter when numerous high school and middle school teams vie for the privilege of practicing in such inadequate space. You will see kids, teachers and coaches with high morale, higher expectations and tremendous discipline working to develop the skills of our students.
Despite these deficits caused by natural deterioration of age, state mandates, and new sports laws, one will find a dedicated group of educators. Tfeachers and paraprofessionals are aligning curriculum, building challenging programs and pushing everyday to meet tougher and perhaps unrealistic state mandates. They eat lunch while helping kids with homework, hold unpaid afterschool remediation, host fundraisers to close the gap between wants and needs, plan field trips, plant greenhouses, coach sports, hold intramurals, host dances and parties to keep our kids in safe places, teach PE even if they are the math teacher the rest of the day, run clubs without compensation, take kids to state competitions for academics and sports, cheer
