Develops and issues permits for solid waste collectors in the County, according to established procedures and recommends improvements to help ensure regulated community compliance. Reviews solid waste collection and transportation complaints; investigates and follows through the appropriate action. Administers Chapter 1086 of the Codified Ordinances for Solid Waste Reduction and Recycling. Knowledge of state and federal environmental protection and waste management laws. Education and experience equivalent to a BA in environmental sciences, biological, chemical, or physical sciences discipline and 2 years experience in solid waste and environmental management.
