Grand Champion Male of the entire show.

Bruce and Joy Sloane, of Sperryville, helped show the llamas. A total of 30 llamas from seven different farms attended the show held just south of Charlottesville.

Condolences to Shirley Frye Hitt of Scrabble Road on the passing of her mother, Carrie Gates Jenkins. This year has been hard on the Hitt family. In January, Shirley’s son Michael and his two cousins were involved in a serious accident. Michael was critically injured. Please keep the family in your prayers.

On the early evening of Sept. 23, William (Bill) Johnson, friend to many Rappahannock County residents, died from severe injuries sustained after an accident involving his tractor. Bill was well-respected and loved. The 80-year-old World War II veteran will be missed. Time can only endear fond memories of the lives he touched.
