During a recent interview at the gallery. Hill, a softspoken and reflective person, emphasized that his pictures demand something of the viewer because of their understatement. He also spoke about the thread that runs throughout all of his work.

"My prints are all about time: that we should or could take the view in.” he said.

Hill certainly makes one want to stop and take more of the world in. His prints are an invitation to look, to listen, and to cherish.
