“We need to really look at this and bring it up to current events,” Schwartz said. “By current events, I mean the completion of the Worley suit. We need to move forward with a nice solid plan that gets rid of any ambiguity, should there have been any.”
Shepherd said that Washington’s old Historic District Ordinance “was basically pretty good” though it had some ambiguities.
“Yours has language typical across the state,” Shepherd said. “Don’t worry that you didn’t have a strong ordinance. We’re going to make it stronger.”
