The shimmering landscapes of the Virginia countryside created by printmaker Tucker Hill will be featured in a show at The Packing Shed Gallery in Washington through Nov.l. An artist’s reception will be held Oct. 3 from 2-6 p.m.
Hill has been creating monotypes of the Virginia countryside in burnt umber and black since 1985. Both mysterious and everyday, Hill’s work is full of ethereal mystery and light. It is a kind of captivating mystery that makes one stop and really want to reexamine the world.
