Flu clinic
Flu shots will be given to high risk persons only at the Amissville Fire Department on Friday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to Lucy H. Caldwell, Virginia Department of Health. The shots are $18 and can be paid by cash or check.
Meetings
• On Wednesday, Nov. 17 the Rappahannock County Planning Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the county courthouse on Gay Street. Highlight of the agenda: Bob Dennis, former Executive Director of the Piedmont Environmental Council, and former President of Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance will speak on “Easements in Rappahannock County.”
• Due to the holidays, the Rappahannock County Board of Zoning Appeals will combine the meetings for November and December into one meeting to be held Wednesday, Dec. 1. Whether there are any applications or not, the BZA will review and discuss the newly adopted Comprehensive Plan.
