Trying to run out the clock the home team kept the ball on the ground, but on third down Rappahannock fumbled giving Pendleton a chance. But Payne scooped it up and dove into the end zone for another touchdown. Payne whose leg was perfect on the day, added another PAT to make the final score 32-5.
