Rappahannock County Higfl School’s Mattie Nawrocki jumped, leapt and ran her way into medaling positions last week, bringing home three seconds and a fourth, proving that A athletes are just as competitive as AA in track and field.
The Panthers faced Strasburg High School, another A team as well as AA Loudoun County and host team Warren County.
Nawrocki placed second in the long jump at 13.2 feet, just behind Strasburg’s Mariana Frye who jumped 14.9 feet.
