This position with the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development Business Investment Team will proactively function as a Business Ambassador to market Loudoun County as a favored business location. Understand, address and communicate Loudoun’s key differentiators to prospects and existing businesses. Primary focus will be on mid-tier accounts (10-70 K s.f.) and select targeted industries. Network with key partners and industry organizations. Manage mid-tier existing business retention and expansion program. Manage special events, and support the marketing and business teams. Requires excellent networking, communication and writing skills as well as the ability to creatively solve problems and address issues. A background in or passion for science and technology is a plus. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or public administration or related field, and at least three years related professional experience working with business, civic and elected leaders. Bachelor’s degree highly desirable.
