The community would like to welcome the new Game Warden, Jason and wife Ashley Culbert from Wise County, Va., now living in Sperryville. Culbert started work here on April 11.
We have so much going on for the weekend of April 16 and 17 in Washington.
The race .is on, the Fodderstack race that is, starting at 10 a.m. at the North end of Flint Hill on Route 522 at the warehouse and ends at the courthouse in Washington. Even if you are not planning on running in the race, come out for the huge celebration after everyone crosses the finish line.
The Annual Spring Event of the Washington Baptist church will be held on Saturday, April 16 at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Included in their Spring Event will be Grandma’s Attic, yard sale to be held in the church Fellowship Hall, with lot’s of baked goodies, such as cookies, cakes pies and breads. Let’s not forget the Men’s Brotherhood group of the church will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs. The meal will be held on the courthouse grounds .
On Saturday, April 16 the Rappahannock County School Sports Association will have its third Annual Car and Truck show at the Rappahannock County High School from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
