Writers’ Conference is a fitting initiative of the Poe Museum’s mission to cany on the legacy of Edgar Allan Poe. It was in Richmond, where Poe grew up, that adults took the time to encourage the teenage boy to write poetry. In that tradition, the Edgar Allan Poe Young Writers’ Conference will allow Richmond to encourage a new generation of young people to follow in the footsteps of Poe.”
