Peter grew up on a working horse farm near Charlottesville, Virginia where he learned about land management, farming and horses. He received a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the College of Charleston, S.C. and a Masters of International Business from the University of South Carolina. Prior to becoming a realtor, Peter served as a Congressional staffer for a member of the Virginia delegation and as a lobbyist for the Venture Capital and Biotechnology industries in Boston, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. Peter and his wife, Melissa, a grants apd communications specialist for the Piedmont Envi- ■ ronmental Council, reside in Madison, Virginia.
