Reports of child abuse to the Rappahannock department come from a mix of people explained Escude, who said she sometimes gets calls from people who are mandated to report abuse such as teachers or doctors.
On a positive note, Escude said that more of the reported cases culminate in family friendly assessments, instead of investigations.
