Congratulations to the young people of our area, all students at Rappahannock County Schools who made the Honor Roll for the past grading period namely, Jessica Shaw, Steven, Jonathan Butler, Bethany Dodson, Kendra Hitt and Karl Thornhill.
Belated birthday wishes go out to Amber Dodson whose day was Sunday, Charlotte Corbin on Monday, Billy Meade’s day was last Thursday and Tom Tharp celebrated Saturday and may our Lord grant many more to each of you.
We also extend happy birthday wishes this week to the Shaw sisters, of Smith Heritage Lane, Jessica celebrated her day on Wednesday, with Miranda adding another year tomorrow, Friday and Jason Knick has his day on Tuesday.
Our thoughts and prayers for comfort go out to the family of the Reverend Milton Switzer, Sr. who passed away on Thursday. Reverend Switzer pastored Hope Hill Baptist Church for many years.
Sympathy is also extended to another Castleton Way resident, Mrs. Patricia Wade who passed away on Thursday and Mrs. Faye Brown Casey, 103, passed away on Saturday, both at Culpeper Health Rehabilitation Center, and Mr. Robert Byers of Reva Way who passed away at his residence last Friday.
Our prayers of comfort go out to Mrs. Arlene Frye and family upon the passing of her brother-in-law, Mr. Charlie Banks.
The Salem Fire Hall was the setting for another of their bountiful breakfast on Sunday morning with a goodly number enjoying the meal, all proceeds going to the department who wish to thank everyone for coming.
Mrs. Joyce Richards has returned home following a week’s stay in Culpeper Regional Hospital where she underwent hip surgery.
