Kev. Switzer is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Catherine Switzer and eleven children, Ruth Bower and husband, Norman of Bradenton, FL, Robert Switzer and wife, Dorothy of Culpeper, Milton Switzer Jr. and wife, Gloria of Viewtown, Josephine Pickett of Amissville, Pauline Grigsby of Culpeper, Mary Knisley of Fredericksburg, Charlie Hawkins of Castleton, Hazel Haines and husband, Richard of Brandy Station, Shirley Hitt of Castleton, Lois Alther and husband, William of Rixeyville and William Hawkins and wife, Tferesa of Castleton.
Additional survivors include one sister, Hazel Rutter, fortyfour grandchildren, sixty-nine great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Virginia Rainey Switzer, one daughter, Olive Springfield, one son, James Hawkins Jr., one sister, Olive Switzer and three brothers, Raymond, Elwood and Stanley Switzer.
A funeral service was held on April 11, at Hope Hill Baptist Church, Castleton with Pastor Carl Menefee officiating. Interment was followed in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.

Patricia Tighe Wade, 75 of Castleton died on April 7, at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was bom on Dec. 3, 1929 in Baltimore, Md., to the late John Tighe and Cecelia Kraning Tighe.
Mrs. Wade was a member of the Precious Blood Catholic Church and has lived in Culpeper for the past 21 years serving as a teacher at the Culpeper County High School.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Francis Wade.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Tighe and one brother, John Tighe.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on April 9, at Precious Blood Catholic Church with Father Leo Zonneveld officiating.
