Mr. Williams resigning Fire/Rescue in Chester Gap with apprehension. It is disconcerting to see a service so necessary, slowly wither away. I am also very clear why Mr. Williams may choose to walk away. While people might argue about the existence of more demanding kinds of public service out there, I don’t think anyone would argue about emergency services being a very demanding “time hog”. There are no end to new requirements. There are less and less volunteers to do more and more work. In addition, no matter what a person does, or how good their intentions might be, it is never good"
