was formed to look into what possibilities exist during that holiday time to not only celebrate but invite visitors to the Town of Washington.
Claudia Mitchell was present to share information about the upcoming “Artists of Rappahannock” studio and gallery tour which is slated for November 5 and 6.
Sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community, this inaugural event will highlight artists by inviting people to visit their studios and/or view their works in several galleries.
The festival is the perfect reason for people to come to 1 Rappahannock County and hopefully spend the weekend in one of the county's B&B's 1 and eat at the local restaurants and visit local shops.
Several area businesses have already pledged support by becoming a sponsor. I By a unanimous vote of the membership, a check for $500 was given to Mitchell from the Washington Hospitality and Visitors Association as their pledge for the event's success.
