A recipient of this award must maintain a second honors average throughout the academic year and perform a minimum of 20 hours of community service.
According to Kathleen Grove, Wakefield Country Day School’s Head of School, selection will be based upon an essay written and submitted by the applicants on how they see themselves in relation to the mission of the school - which includes character development, courtesy and a strong sense of honor - and to Cowherd himself.
