Of The Brooklyn Cowboys. The newest addition to Patrick Street, Ged Foley, is a superb guitarist, singer, and player of both the fiddle and the Northumbrian smallpipes. Bom in County Durham in the North East of England. Ged (pronounced “Jed”) was a one-time member of Scotland’s The Battlefield Band and is a founding member of The House Band. Their performance for Bluemont will be a rare treat for all.
Plan to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on. The Fauquier Literacy Volunteers will provide homemade refreshments as a fundraiser for its programs. Door prizes donated by Carousel’s, La Chapeau Rouge, and Subway will be awarded during the intermission. Pets, alcohol and smoking are prohibited at all Bluemont events. In case of bad weather, the concert will be held at the Taylor Middle School auditorium.
This summer, Bluemont will present more than 70 concerts in twelve communities in northwest and central Virginia including Ashland, Colonial Beach, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Haymarket, Leesburg, Luray, Middleburg, Spotsylvania, Stafford, Warrenton and Winchester.
