Newton R. Dennis

Ret. Sgt. Msg. Newton Russell Dennis, 88 of Ventnor City, N.J., formerly of Rappahannock died at home on Sunday, July 3. He was bom July 30, 1916 in Woodville. Mr. Dennis enjoyed baseball, cars and horses.

In 1941, he gained employment with the War Department working for the office of the Surgeon General at Walter Reed Hospital. In 1944, he left the War Department to answer the call to World War II by enlisting in the U. S. Army. During his 26 year career with the U. S. Army, he earned several commendations and through his great faith in God and Country, survived two tours in the Korean War. Mr. Dennis disnlnvivl nmfpssionnl ewpllence.
