Remember how Noah was commanded to build an ark and put into it all living things, two of every sort? There is an implicit assumption in this—that a male and a female are required for perpetuation of any species. But for many organisms males are fare or nonexistent.
Can you think of any? Chances are you saw some this summer as you sprayed the aphids on your roses or bombed the wasp nests on your house.
