This kind of thing is a fireable offense for a guide dog. He was forced into early retirement at the age of seven.
Norris has a spotless record so far. Although Stacey is his second employer, it is through no fault of Norris. The fellow simply decided a guide dog wasn't for him.
In the year he's been away from Rappahannock, Norris has been quite the traveler, Stacey tells us. “He's been all over. He's been to to Biloxi, Chattanooga, Jekyll Island Georgia. Right before the hurricane, we were both evacuated. He spent the last year on campus... He’s hiked two miles on the Appalachian Trail”
It was on campus that Norris earned his nickname: “Snorris”. “He snores very loudly. He can let out a perfect snore during the most boring lecture’ Stacey tells us. Well, maybe Norris can be forgiven for sleeping in class. He's already graduated after all.
