knowledge and expert experience in tiie administrative field with the utmost devotion to duty. While in Korea, he received the Purple Heart. He was a lifelong member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Rappahannock County.
Mr. Dennis was predeceased by his wife, Julie Ann Dennis, granddaughters, Alice Georgette Dennis, Allyssa Walker, sisters, Mary McNeil and Sadie Hardy, brothers, Henry and Mercer Dennis and son-in-law, Roger D. Walker.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Walker and son, Keith R. Dennis, brother, Johnnie W. Dennis (Artis). Additional surviors include,- two sisters-in-laws, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville on Saturday, July, 30 ! at 11:30 a.m.
Eleanor R. Johnstone
Eleanor Richmond John_ stone, 85, of Culpeper died Saturday, July 16, at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community. She was bom Nov. 2, 1919 in Chestnut Hill, Pa. to the late Jonathan Dickenson Este and Lydia Cox Este Poe.
Mrs. Johnstone was a past member of Upperville Episcopal Church in Upperville, Va. She was an avid equestrian formally of Rappahanock County and a founder of the Rappahanock Point to Point Races of Leeway Farm now known as the Bleu Rock Inn.
She is survived by her son, John Greenaway and his wife, Glenda of Culpeper, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Marion Hand and her daughter, Lee Richmond Greenaway.
