Road Mayhem

July 13, 4:10 p.m. on Route 729 near Battle Mountain Road, Lt. Connie Smith stopped James Patrick Foresman, 52, of Amissville. Foresman was charged with D.U.I. and driving on revoked license, arrested and remanded to jail.

July 15, around 2:25 p.m. on Zachary Taylor Highway (Rte 522) a '98 Ford Taurus driven by Elizabeth Estes, 74 of Sperryville, crossed the center line, striking a '00 Chrysler Cirrus driven by Jeanne Jenkins, 45, of Amissville. There were no injuries, and Mrs. Estes was charged with improper lane change.

July 17, 12:40 a.m., Dusty Wayne Sealock, 40, of Page County, driving a '98 Camaro, was stopped by a Virginia State Police DUI enforcement effort. The State Police are assigning extra officers to specifically be on the lookout for potential DUI activity. Sealock was arrested and charged with DUI and driving on a revoked license, relating to a prior DUI. He was also charged with refusal, the offense of refusing to submit to a blood alcohol test.

Sunday, July 17 around 1:40 p.m. on the Fodderstack Road a coyote was struck and killed.
