worked on that painting as a mental break from the creative demands of a commission she’d received for a painting of Old Tbwn Alexandria. “The Alexandria project was intense in terms of the need to be historically correct,” she said. “I had a big piece of masonite at the time, so I started painting Old Rag for relaxation.”
Richey has decided to offer the Old Tbwn Warrenton and Old Rag paintings for sale, with ha|f of the proceeds to benefit the Fauquier Hospital.
