Volunteers needed!

If you have the time to drive a few hours a week, we need you! Time is valuable and if you want your time to really count, then sign up to be an RSVP volunteer. Drivers are already busy every week taking elderly individuals who are unable to drive themselves to see their doctors, receive their special health needs, pick up their groceries and pick up their medications. But, with the elderly population growing, there is a critical need for more drivers. This is one very important way to help the seniors in this community live more independently and rely less on family members who are already working hard to take care of the needs of their own homes. Drivers are also needed to transport meals from the RRCSB/AAA preparation kitchen in Culpeper to the senior centers in the surrounding area.

If you want more information or would like to volunteer in Rappahannock County, contact Darcy Canton at the Rappahannock Senior Center at (540) 675-2615, Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
