“screen” type of fabric which matched the color of their walls in a very flexible, ripple pleated, unlined style using hardware that was simply a track that allowed pushing and pulling in all different configurations. When the draperies are open, one hardly notices they are there, as their “stack back” is minimal. At night when they close the draperies, privacy is achieved without a closed in feel, since the semi-sheer color matches the walls. Another client, with no need for privacy, but again with a great view, simply had stationary panels and a gathered valance made to frame out their French doors. No fabric touches the glass, blocks the doorway, or obstructs the view. Instead the view is “framed” as if it was a picture, but the room has a great traditional feel of formal draperies.
