Cadette Girl Scout Troop 2329 will be having a “Girl Scout Cookie Booth Sale” Saturday, February 25, at the 211 Quickie Mart from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

February, March: Pruning Road Show

The Pruning Road Show is a series of FREE public demonstrations on proper pruning of trees and shrubs taught by VCE Master Gardener Volunteers and the Horticulture Extension Agent. Every year, homeowners have good intentions about pruning their trees and shrubs but don’t realize the proper techniques involved with pruning. These demonstrations will offer the general public easy tips on pruning and some handson practice in a comfortable environment. Please join us at one or more of the locations and dress for the weather since we will be outside! We will follow the County Schools if they are closed. Feb. 23 4 p.m. Culpeper Floyd T. Binns Middle School (snow date Feb 24 at 4 p.m. Directions: Take Rt. 229 N out of town and take a right on Grandview Ave.

Mar. 9 4 p.m. Orange Northern Piedmont Research Station (snow date Mar 14 at 4 p.m. Directions: From the Town of Orange travel 1 mile S on Rt 15. As you pass the Texaco, get into the left lane. Turn left at the next crossover (a “U” turn) into the Northbound lanes of Rt 15. Go 100 yds. At the top of the hill turn right on Rt 683 (Research Road). You are now on our “driveway”; drive to the end of this (300yds.).
