The public notice in your paper directed us to write to the DEQ-Northem VA Regional Office with comments. We did so and respectfully requested a public hearing, now scheduled for March 28, concerning the permit for the following reasons:
1. We (and perhaps others) did not receive the official documentation re: the permit.
2. We are extremely concerned that ‘treated’ water dumped into an already impaired (and often dry) stream would have hazardous affects on the fish and wildlife in the affected areas, including our property.
3. We worry that a water treatment plant located directly within the Washington, VA Tbwnship could produce, at times, an odor that would have disastrous affect on quality of life and on tourism, the main
