As landowners with property
directly on the Rush River near the Town of Washington, VA, we were surprised to stumble upon the December notice in the Rappahannock News regarding the proposed issuance of the above referenced permit. We were disappointed that notification of an issue so critically important to our community would be tucked away in the paper over the holidays, a time when many people would be away or less inclined to see the paper. We were pleased, however, to see that the issue is now being reported in your paper.
We know there are serious concerns about the existing waste system in and around the Town of Washington, VA. We fully support finding solutions to the problems but believe that insufficient review and public discussion have taken place regarding this decision - a decision that
