As riparian landowners, we have rights that have not been sufficiently protected at this time. For that reason and those mentioned above, we urge the citizens of the county to move slowly and deliberately to seek the very best solutions to the town’s problems - not just the easiest. Look hard at the data, listen to the experts and strive to make a decision that will not harm the environment, our health, the area’s tourism/ business prospects or the value of the area’s property.
In the long run, it will be to everyone’s advantage if area residents, many whom will be affected for decades to come, feel that they have been fairly treated and adequately informed.
