February 23: Soap Box Derby of Culpeper

The 4th Annual Culpeper Soap Box Derby has begun. To kick off the event for 2006, an informational meeting is planned for Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. at Rosson & Troilo, 18327 Brandy Road, in Brandy Station. This is an opportunity for all interested persons — drivers, parents, sponsors, volunteers — to ask questions and get information needed to participate in the Derby. In the first Culpeper Soap Box Derby there were 35 drivers. In 2005, 78 boys and girls raced down the hill on Blue Ridge Avenue. Can we reach 100? We hope so.
