Is another fight to preserve the Rappahannock skyline in the offing? After enduring the controversy and suffering the results of the Great Power fine Towers that affected the eastern part of the county in the early 1970s, it appears that a new type of tower—this time for cell phone users and others—are being offered for the central and western mountaintops. Representatives of the telecommunications companies who have contacted landowners in the area they want to build the towers have so far met with little success.
