March 15: Essay contest
The Vnited Daughters of the Confederacy, Culpeper Chapter #73 cordially invite the Students of Rappahannock County to participate in their annual Essay contest. There is a category for High School, Middle and Elementary age students. Private and Home Schooled students are encouraged to enter as well! If you have an interest in History, a copy of the essay rules can be obtained through the Rappahannock County Public Schools, Wakefield Country Day School, Hearthstone School and the Rappahannock County Public Library. Joan Proctor offer a Presentation Workshop for Rappahannock 4-H members. Joan teaches youth how to calm their nerves when speaking in public as well as how best to stand, how to create posters and other materials to go along with the presentation, and helps determine the best wording for presentations. March 24: Conversation on Aging
On Friday, March 24 there will be a “Community Conversation on Aging”at the Washington Fire Hall from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. sponsored by the Rappahannock Rapidan Eldercare Coalition. April 2: Daylight Savings Time at Gray Ghost
