Dr. and Mrs. William Kilby of Harrisonburg have announced the engagement of their daughter, Marie Catherine Kilby of Harrisonburg, to James Edwin Lunde of Richmond.
Kilby is the granddaughter of Mrs. Irvin R. Kilby of Sperryville.
Lunde is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Whitman of Grand Ledge, Mich., and the late James Lunde.
Kilby graduated from Spotswood High School. She is pursuing a degree at the University of Mary Washington.
Lunde graduated from Grand Ledge High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in religious studies from Alma College. He is pursing a degree at Union Theological Seminary/Presbyterian School of Christian Education.
A June 2009 wedding is being planned in Rockingham County, Va.
