Miss Caroline Virginia Jenkins enlisted in the U. S. Air Force on Jan. 17. She is the daughter of Charles H. Jenkins and Victoria Jenkins of Huntly. She graduated from Rappahannock County High School in June 1968.
The Fourth Annual Rappahannock Beauty Pageant is scheduled for Friday, April 18, 1969 and will be held at Rappahannock County Elementary School, according to J. B. Willis, president of the Rappahannock Jaycee Chapter which sponsors the pageant. Gary Deal and Donald Gore are in charge of the 69 pageants in which approximately $400 in prizes is offered.
Rappahannock Panthers ended the first half of the 1968-69 season with an impressive 65-56 win over the Elkton Elks Friday night. Tuesday night the Panthers were topped 71-59 by the Central High School Falcons at Woodstock. Leading the Panther attacITwas senior forward Bobby Settle. Settle is second in the District in scoring with 205 points in 10 games for a 20.5 average.

Circuit Court Judge Shore Robertson has refused to issue a writ of certiorari in the zoning controversy over The Inn at Little Washington. Robertson entered his order last Thursday, clerk Diane Bruce reported, thus making moot a previously scheduled pre-trial conference which had been set for Monday. Lawyers for The Inn had sought a court review of conditions placed on the variance granted The Inn at a November 18 Town Council meeting.
The permanent future site of the 62-year-old Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase classic and other large open field events has been donated to a non-profit community foundation by news executive Arthur W. Arundel. The property, recently named Great Meadow, includes over 100 acres of land planned for
