Emily Carter remembers the first time she thought about which college she might like to attend.
“We were in the fifth grade, and Chase and I said that we were going to UVA together," she recalled, smiling. “We always said that we were going to go there. Then, in our eighth grade time capsules that we made, I found a note that I had written that said I was going to go to UVA."
