The event is a fund-raiser to benefit the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department, of which Burke is chief. The proceeds help the fire company to upgrade its equipment and make payments on new apparatus recently purchased.
Those attending will lx* charged $20 per vehicle for general parking, or $30 for "sponsor" parking in a reserved tailgating area where families or groups may set up tables and chairs for a tailgate party. For a $250 donation, a business or corporation may set up a tent in a prime viewing area, both to enjoy the day’s events and to promote their products or services to the public.
