Officers elected
At the meeting, WHVA members also voted unanimously in favor of the following officers for the new year: Jay Brown, re-elected president; Phil Irwin, re-elected vice president, Bemie Olson of Flint Hill Vintage Antiques elected secretary; Gary Schwartz, re-elected treasurer; and Linda Lawler, elected assistant secretary.

membership
In another matter, Brown announced that the recent membership drive had produced nearly 100 percent renewal among existing members, along with more than a dozen new members from among local businesses. WHVA now represents almost 50 businesses in the town and Rappahannock County.
Members discussed possibly forming committees by location, so that businesses in, for example, Sperryville, Flint Hill or Washington would have a forum in which to address issues specific to their location, while WHVA as a whole would focus on countv-wide issues affecting
