Dr. and Mrs. William I. Kilby of Harrisonburg are the parents of a daughter, Christina Anne, born on Sunday, June 3, 1984 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. Grandparents of the little girl are Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Kilby of Sperryville and Dr. and Mrs. Richard Young of Louisville, Kentucky.
Rappahannock County Supervisors reappointed Beverly Massie and Nancy Reeve to four-year school board terms at the supervisors’ meeting on June 4. Massie, who has served on the board 12 years, was pleased by the reappointment, and said she believes that experience lends stability to the board. Reeve will begin her second four-year term. New terms begin July 1.
Ann Oliver, a senior at Rappahannock High, received last week an award from the Piedmont Board of Realtors for her essay on Private Property. The award of $50 was given by Piedmont Board vice president Sally Lea. Miss Oliver’s essay now will compete with others in the national competition, the grand prize for which is a $1,000 bond and a trip to the National Board of Realtors’ convention in Hawaii. Miss Oliver is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Oliver of Woodville. She also was a member of RCHS’s Pop Quiz team.
