Bliss Ellen Mustoe of Orange, Va., has accepted the position of Social Worker in the Rappahannock County Welfare Office. She was graduated this year from Madison College, Harrisonburg where she majored in pre-social. Miss Mustoe worked for two summers in Appalachia at Inman in Wise county. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mustoe.
Page Moffett, son of Judge and Mi s. William F. Moffett of Washington, Va., is taking a six weeks Mediterranean cruise abroad the aircraft carrier ShangriLa as part of his NROTC Training Program at the University of Virginia. He has already visited Rota, Cadiz and Seville, Spain. At present he is in Athens, Greece and before returning home July 19 he will visit Cannes, France and other Mediterranean ports.
More than 80 youngsters turned out Monday afternoon for the water safety program instituted by the Extension Office in Rappahannock. The children were registered and then turned over to instructors Mrs. Ann Hargett and Paul Nichols. Initial effort was directed toward dividing children into groups according to their capabilities in the water.
