man, Merchant Navy ofiicer, and owner ot a tannery, quarries, a construction company, and road building machinery.
His main Equestrian interests were with Fox Hunting and Steeplechase Racing.
In Virginia he hunted with The Rappahannock, Old Dominion and Warrenton Hunts. He took a very active part in the Point to Point and Steeplechase Racing and was Chairman for several years of the Rappahannock Point to Point Races, which were at the time held at Thornton Hill Farm. In the 196Q’s and early 1970’s he raced his own mare “In The Know” and did very well with her. giving him much pleasure as he trained her on his farm, the Old Kennels in Rappahannock County. He enjoyed helping the young riders. Several of the top steeplechase nders won their first races riding horses, which belonged to and were trained by Mr. Kuncewicz. He had several of his own homebred horses, which went on to, become successful Steeplechasers, Hunters and Event Horses.
